Laser Treatments
-
BBL and IPL are both light-based treatments, but BBL is considered a more advanced form of IPL technology. BBL uses a broad range of light energy that can be customized with different settings and filters to target concerns such as redness, pigmentation, sun damage, and skin rejuvenation more precisely.
-
BBL, or Broadband Light, is used to target visible signs of sun damage, redness, pigmentation, age spots, uneven tone, and overall skin dullness. It can help create a clearer, brighter, more even-looking complexion with minimal downtime.
-
Yes. BBL is a great option for improving the appearance of redness, broken capillaries, sun damage, brown spots, and uneven pigmentation. It works by delivering light energy into the skin to target unwanted pigment and visible redness, helping the skin appear more even and refreshed over time.
-
CO2 fractional laser resurfacing is a skin resurfacing treatment that creates controlled micro-injuries in the skin to stimulate collagen production and remove damaged outer layers. It can help improve fine lines, texture, acne scars, sun damage, enlarged pores, and overall skin quality.
-
BBL targets color concerns in the skin, such as redness, brown spots, sun damage, and pigmentation. CO2 fractional laser focuses more on resurfacing the skin and improving texture concerns, such as acne scars, fine lines, wrinkles, rough skin, and deeper sun damage. Many clients benefit from both treatments because they work in different ways.
-
Downtime can vary depending on the intensity of the treatment, but most clients should expect redness, warmth, dryness, peeling, and a sandpaper-like texture for several days. For lighter fractional CO2 treatments, downtime is commonly around 3–5 days, while more aggressive treatments may require longer healing time. Your provider will review what to expect based on your specific treatment plan.
-
Yes, in some cases BBL and CO2 can be combined or performed as part of a treatment plan. BBL is often used to target pigment and redness, while CO2 helps resurface texture and stimulate collagen. Your provider will determine whether they should be done together or spaced apart based on your skin type, goals, and sensitivity.
-
For acne scars, CO2 fractional laser is one of the most effective laser options because it helps resurface the skin and stimulate collagen remodeling. Depending on the type and depth of scarring, your provider may also recommend combining CO2 with microneedling, RF microneedling, subcision, PRP, PDRN, Radiesse, or Sculptra for a more customized acne scar treatment plan.
